BeamLight Foundation (BLF) visited Ajibola Ayedere Primary School, Idera Primary School, and Oluwalogbon Primary School on 27th November 2024.
The pupils were reminded of the essence of Sex Education (that is, to create awareness of the basic differences between the male and female gender and to understand that they have the right to say no to any form of sexual advances made at them). Emphasis was laid on the need for the pupils to set relationship boundary and not allow anyone to invade their personal space. They were equally told to also respect others’ personal spaces as well. Also, they were told to report any form of sexual molestation/abuse. Furthermore, the pupils were equally informed of the need to imbibe the right values. Values such as empathy/kindness, love, respect, responsibility, perseverance/endurance, critical thinking/problem solving, team work/collaboration, honesty/integrity et cetera. They were informed that imbibing these values will aid them to navigate the many difficult terrains of life. It will build them up into better individual.
